If you already have a Curt EZr Double Lock gooseneck hitch, the Curt X5 adapter turns that same setup into a base for a 5th wheel hitch. It drops right into the gooseneck ball hole and locks in using the hitch handle—no permanent changes needed. Once in place, it provides a set of industry-standard rails so you can mount common 5th wheel hitches from Curt, Reese, Draw-Tite, Husky, Valley, and others. It’s a simple way to make one truck work for both towing styles.
This adapter is built from sturdy steel with a carbide black finish and can handle up to 20,000 lbs gross towing weight and 4,000 lbs tongue weight. Works great. The fifth wheel adapter has been used to tow my 19,000 gvw 5th wheel trailer from Wisconsin to Texas back and forth for 2 years.
Took 2 minutes to install. Works great, I had it hooked up to my fifth wheel 2 hours after UPS delivered.

Everything arrived in perfect condition. With a little trim of the bed liner the adapter fit perfectly as described. My Curt A-16 hitch looks great paired up with the gooseneck adapter. Ready to hit the road!
This adaptor is the reason I went with the under bed Kurt gooseneck. You can get the whole package at a reasonable price and trust that nothing is going to fail. Well made product. It's just light enough to manhandle, yet just heavy enough to trust.
The part is great but trying to get them to ship was a chore took over a month to get delivered and a tracking number I called every day and did not get to much til I was going to cancel my order then they had info for me
Heavy and doesn't fit flat on my truck bed, had to add some heavy duro rubber shims between this and the bed floor. I paired this with the C611-624 gooseneck hitch.

Is an ok at best product in my opinion. I placed a brand new Reece 20,000 5th wheel hitch in the Curst Base Rail adapter to find that the holes for the pins did not line up the best. 3 of the 4 were close enough for the pins to go into, the last hole (front hole on right side) had to have approximately a 32nd and close to a 1/16th of an inch of metal removed for the pin to line up correctly and go through the hole.
I have since purchased a different truck and installed a B & W gooseneck hitch and purchased a B & W rail system. The new B & W system is flawless and works great.
I have attempted to sell the Curt X5 base rail adapter online with no success, currently it is simply taking up space in the corner of my shop.
This adapter allowed me to quickly install a fifth wheel hitch in my single wheel shortbed truck which had a gooseneck hitch without any extra installation work, other than just dropping it in. Easily installed and has worked well with a slider hitch.
Received my order in 3 business days, with free shipping and It was an exact fit! Plan on buying here from here on out!!
